Author Gone AWOL...

OK, technically, I'm not going AWOL, but I will be on vacation, so I won't be posting for about a week.

Elections (AKA silly season) are fast approaching, and this time they're critical. There is a lot to think about as we choose our representatives this time around. It's going to be a whole bunch of political bull, just like always, but we need more than that. We need representatives who use their experience to service the membership, not trade on who their friends are at the hall.

That's why I'm endorsing ANDY PAPPAGALLO for Zone II Committeeman. I'm also throwing my support (for what it's worth) behind KATHY COOPER to retain her position as Committeeman.

But, more on all that later...
